Hello Friend, My name is Troy.
I’m born and raised in Sonoma County. It is an honor and a privilege to give back to the community. What makes my counseling or coaching special is that it ties my background in sports/athletics, communication, and education/career development.
As a student-athlete at Montgomery High School and at Santa Rosa Junior College, I was extremely interested in sports psychology, the “zone”, and working in one’s peak performance. But, like so many young people, I found myself stressed out with time management, over commitments, and not having good systems to rely on to plan my days, weeks, and years.
As a student at Chico State University and at Howard University, it allowed me the opportunity to work with diverse communication faculty, staff, and students, from a “party school” to a Historical Black College/University in Washington, DC. But, like so many college students, I found myself worried about first-generation issues, the financial aid process, and a feeling of imposter syndrome, from time-to-time.
As a student at University of San Francisco, I collaborated and networked with counselors, social workers, and therapists, throughout the Bay Area. But, like so many professionals, I was challenged with “jump starting” my career and developing the tools- cover letters and resumes- to be successful in the overall application, interview, and hiring process.
Now, I’m excited to be a part of the Keystone team and use my experiences to better help individuals, parents, and groups. Please allow me to be a support and resource in your own journey.
