Alicia Diaz Said holds a Bachelor's degree in Women's and Gender Studies with a concentration in Women's Health from Sonoma State University and is currently working on a Master's in Social Work at San Jose State University.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, she is a native Spanish speaker and the proud daughter of immigrant parents. In 2001, she moved to Sonoma County with her husband, where they have raised two children, now aged 22 and 16.
For over 15 years, she has been actively involved in Santa Rosa City Schools, volunteering in classrooms, leading reading programs, and advocating for LGBTIQA+ youth. These experiences have fueled her commitment to supporting children’s social-emotional health and helping them form meaningful connections and healthy relationships.
As a social work intern, she is excited and humbled by the opportunity to work with children, helping them discover their strengths, gain new skills, and blossom into the next chapter of their lives.
